About the F-I-S-H Trust

On 21-01-2011 a Record of Interactions was created to generate research topics on Decoding Veda Vidya and Traditional Resources for Rediscovering Indian Scientific Heritage. It was part of A Three-Day International Conference coordinated by Foundation for Indian Scientific Heritage Trust ® Surathkal during 21-23rd January, 2011. (Details are provided in the Activities Section). A forging ahead documentation of future research exploring our heritage resources for national wellbeing, individual progress and upliftment contributing to Global Peace was the outcome of this significant event.

In the year 2009, a Google Group F-I-S-H under Science & Technology category was formed by Acharya Dr S Ramakrishna Sharma who was then serving as Associate Professor & Head, Dept of English, in Sri JCBM College, Shringeri. His online activities paved the way for establishing contacts and connectivity with like minded scholars pursuing study and research in Vedic Science. Ever since he joined as lecturer in English in 1991 he has been an acknowledged resource person invited to deliver lectures, present papers on topics related to Vedic Science and traditional resources.

The F-I-S-H Trust was registered on 22-12-2010 at Sub Registrar’s office, Mulky, keeping in view the Three-Day International Conference as mentioned above. From time immemorial the living oral tradition of Vedas, identified by the UNESCO as the most ancient Intangible Heritage of Humanity, always thrived and flourished on Vamsha-Vruksha, the Family Tree of the Gotra-Pravartaka Rishis. Recognising the cultural and spiritual value of this historical fact, the Trust is founded invoking the Blessings of Aangirasa Maharshi. The Founder & Managing Trustee, the Treasurer and the Member of this Trust belong to the Family Tree of Aangirasa Maharshi.
