International Literacy Day 08-09-2018

Literacy from sand/rice grain to slate, then to palm leaves, ink pot and feather-pen… then to paper and pencil… and now to Key-Board to Mouse… Is it the medium that is important? Is it primitive to use sand or rice grains?  Where is hand writing lost? Does it have any impact on the brain? Using sand/rice grain base to scribble the alphabets has been the Indian Tradition from time immemorial. Perpetuating literacy ought to be in keeping with age old traditions. Our great Nation is rich in Cultural Literacy.
