Vision

Foundation for Indian Scientific Heritage Trust ® Surathkal with its acronym F-I-S-H is a non-profit charitable service organisation for perpetuating Indian Scientific Heritage Awareness & Applications and Cultural Literacy at all levels in all branches of education. To make learning as natural as breathing by tapping most conducive traditional environment and ambiance.

To establish R & D for Spiritual Resource Development with Yoga-Tantra Perspective to upgrade the HRD Concept to make it more human centred. Developing Language Appropriate Technology for Sanskrit and other Indian Languages to serve SRD requirements.

Mission

To avail of living traditional authentic knowledge systems and their beneficial applications to the teachers and students thereby awakening in them the role of torch bearers to perpetuate Heritage Awareness & Cultural Literacy to their next generation.

To design course appropriate ‘hands on’ technological modules augmented with ‘heads and hearts on’ sessions adding holistic values and energies, further adding to Spiritual Quotient and Action Quotient of teachers and learners.

Objectives

  • Initiating National Movement for Indian Scientific Heritage Awareness & Applications, and Cultural Literacy which means experiential knowledge of values and meanings of each and every object, concepts and practices of our Culture.
  • Creating and publishing age appropriate Literature for the realisation of I-S-H-A
  • Promoting H-A-T, Heritage Awareness Tourism.
  • Organizing Workshops, Exhibitions, Conferences and Seminars on I-S-H-A
  • State-wise networking to document Heritage Content.
  • Bringing Heritage Awareness & Cultural Literacy to the local folk and general public.
